xCP Features

Process versioning – allows multiple versions of a process to co-exist at design time and at runtime, enabling developers to maintain different versions of a process so that updates follow a new path and older versions are not impacted.

·     Process debugging – enables developers to debug a process at design time, identifying and resolving potential issues.

·     Session variables – stores specific in-memory session data and in browser cookies, which enables the sharing of data between various user interface elements, minimizing the re-entering of data by users.

·     Custom action flows – Enhances the user experience by providing developers with a means to design applications where many of the user interactions can be done in the context of relevant information, thereby eliminating unnecessary page navigation steps.

·     Business alerts –new communication channel that monitors historical data, and either delivers an alert to users when situation arises that requires a user’s attention, or initiates a process to perform a corrective action.

·     Page fragments – container of widgets and associated data service instances that can be used to compose parts of a page, dynamically displayed based on a condition, and are reusable in one or more pages of an application, minimizing the time it takes to build and maintain the application’s UI.

·     UI events – delivers a true decoupled UI design by facilitating indirect communication between different page elements and services enabling developers to create a more interactive user experience based on user actions taken.

·     Preview mode –saves developers time by allowing them to quickly preview UI changes, without having to deploy the application.

·     Type fragments –allows a dynamic data modeling experience by exposing at runtime the capability to attach new attributes and new behaviors to any object type. Type fragments can be shared across multiple object types and used within the object context to enhance the behavior of the application.

·     Better content management support – increased user productivity with ability import documents from anywhere in the xCP application, drag and drop support, and seamless editing of documents in native applications.

·     xCP REST Services– enables developers to build mobile UI and native apps that connect to Documentum xCP applications using generated application specificREST Services.

·     Type adoption– provides the ability to reuse types definition existing within a repository, enabling customers to migrate to xCP 2.1.
